Affiliate Marketing Revised

August 21, 2010 by  dalc2 under Uncategorized

Everything you think you know about building an affiliate business is wrong. The tactics of the past few years just don’t work anymore. You need to adapt and change or perish.

You’ve been duped

You’ve been told it’s easy to get started as an affiliate. Well, that’s true . . . to a point It’s far easier that developing, selling and supporting your own product. But “easier” doesn’t mean “easy”.

The bad news…

And to make matters worse, you’ve taught to do it the hard way. You’ve been told to find quality products. Next to look for easy keywords to target. Then to use keyword-based advertising to send visitors to the product. And just enjoy the commissions. But it doesn’t work.

Forget keywords

This method worked a couple years ago. But keywords are too expensive now. Adapt and change…

A brand new formula

There is a solution to this problem. Follow this method and win again…

  • Start using CPA marketing
  • Utilize demographics data
  • Use image ads

Do CPA marketing instead of product promotion

CPA means Cost Per Action. It’s far superior to product promotion. Because your visitor doesn’t have to buy anything. You earn a commission for having them perform an “action”. Like completing a survey. And it’s much easier to get them to do that.

Instead of researching keywords, research demographics

Keywords are no longer relevant (you’ll see in a minute). Invest your research time into demographics. First, select the CPA offer you want to promote. Next, you go to Quantcast.com. And discover the exact demographics of your ideal prospect.

Market on display networks

Now you have your offer and your demographics. You can advertise directly to them on display networks. Using image ads. And you don’t need to know or buy a single keyword. Plus you’re going to save a ton of money. Display networks charge a fraction for image ad clicks vs. keyword ads.

Summary

This is powerful method to make money online. Because you can start CPA marketing for free. Image ads are cheap. You can use demographics to target your ideal prospect. And your commission is much easier to earn.

7 reasons why you MUST have your own info product

August 14, 2010 by  dalc2 under Uncategorized

Consider this: What’s the most common reason people get online each and every day? You probably already guessed that it’s to find information. Information seeking is so huge that Google alone hosts 400,000,000 searches every day! So what does this mean to you? Well, this is an opportunity for your to provide what people want – information. And to earn some cash for doing it!

Info marketing 101

First, understand that this is the simplest kind of business there is. You take information and turn it into a digital product – like and ebook. And other people buy this product to get the info. Sounds simple enough, right?

But how does it all work?

OK, the concept is simple. In order to be successful there has to be value in the info you’re selling. So step one is to discover what kind of info people want. How do you do that?

A super simple trick is to just to check “answer” sites. Head over to ask.com or Yahoo! answers and you’ll get a good idea of the kinds of things people need help with. Your goal is to find a common problem. Something that most people don’t already know. And solve the problem for them by writing an info product on it.

An encouraging word

If you’re concerned about information product development Consider this: An ebook is just a series of articles. Don’t try to write a whole ebook. Just write some articles for your blog. And when you have a collection, refine and expand on them and put them together into an ebook.

So, what’s so great about ebooks? Well, that bring me to the tile of this article Here are the seven reasons

1. Simplicity

As soon as you have the pieces in place, it’s virtually maintenance free. And your customers need very little support. Which means there nothing for you to actually *do*. It’s like having an automated cash machine.

There’s no inventory. There’s nothing to ship. Your business is 100% digital.

2. Repurposing

Once you have a few info products created. You can just combine them into a more expensive product. It’s a simple matter to merge a few ebooks into one. And your new product will be able to carry a much higher sticker price. People will be willing to pay a lot more for one big ebook. Instead of several small ebooks.

3. Resellers

Since it’s your product, you can offer other people the resale rights. This is a very popular topic right now, because most people simply don’t have the time, money and effort it takes to create their own products. And what’s more you get to charge two to three time as much for these rights.

4. Leverage

Leverage your ebook by using the content in different ways. Take parts of your info product and turn it into a email training series. And build an email list that you can sell other products to.

5. More leverage

Don’t stop there . . . break it into several smaller reports. These reports can then become lead generators for your ebook. They can be free or low prices. Either way, you win because you’re feeding your funnel. You can even make these viral by allowing your affiliates to give them away. Affiliate, you say? Yes!

6. An army of affiliates

This one is huge. When you own your own products. Other people can become your affiliates. How would you like to have an army of affiliates selling your products? You’ve got to have your own products to have affiliates.

7. Joint Ventures

Last, but definitely not least… Joint ventures are the biggest short cut to success known to man. That makes this is the biggest reason for creating your own info products. Because if you don’t have you own product, you’ve got nothing to JV.

Summing it up

If you’re not convinced to start selling information products, then you’ve probably been sleeping. You’ll become the ruler of your own fate. Because you’re 100% in control. So just get started:

  • Head over to Yahoo! answers
  • Discover what questions are being asked
  • Start writing

The steps on how to write an ebook are really that easy. And in no time you’ll have an info product ready to go.

Using Web Audio for Success

August 13, 2010 by  dalc2 under Uncategorized

There is no doubt that web page audio significantly increases results. If you don’t have audio in your arsenal, you’re missing out. Adding it raises your opt-in conversions. And your sales.

But why?

It’s not hard to figure out. Most of the web is cold and impersonal. Audio adds a human quality to your site. And adds the feel of a real live person. Basically, audio brings your site to life. And people like to interact with things that are alive!

Some more benefits

You’ll receive two immediate benefits to your bottom line when you employ the use of audio. You’ll convert more visitors into buyers. And second you’ll save money on the sales letter. You see, you’ll be able to skip the expensive copywriter. You can just add your own audio. An authentic message from you will do more than the best ad copy.

And you will increase your subscriber opt-in rate. The reason this works so well is because people need to be told what to do. So you make an audio recording that says: Fill in your name and email and click submit. Just this one simple thing will boost opt-ins up to 315%!

Some web audio ideas

Add a welcome to my site message on your main page. Most people abandon a website within just a few seconds. This could be all it takes to get your visitor to decide to stay.

Step-by-step instructions. The same principle the we used to boost opt-ins applies. You just explain what to do first, then next, etc. Use this to lead them through the ordering process, as well.

Product testimonials are great. A written testimonial is good. But audio testimonials are great! It’s pretty easy to fake a written testimonial. So audio adds real believability. Which boosts your sales for sure.

Sneaky tick

Did you ever think of making a product just by recording some audio? You’ll be able to produce audio products faster than any other kind. And it still has a high perceived value. The great thing about audio products is people can take them with them on the go. And once you record the audio, you can pay someone to transcribe it for you. Then you’ve got an eBook, too – but it was easy to create!

Is adding audio hard?

It’s so simple you won’t believe it. There are quite a few audio streaming software programs out there. The software does all the work. The program records and then converts the recording and generates an audio button. Just paste the code you copy from the software. There’s nothing to worry about.

Summary

Let’s take another look at the benefits. Using website audio will increase your conversion rates. You’ll get more sales. You’ll get more subscribers. And don’t forget that you can easily create sales pages and products in a flash. You’ll be one of the few you use these strategies. But you’ll save a lot of time and money. Get started right now and realize instant results.

Sneaky Affiliate Tricks

August 12, 2010 by  dalc2 under Uncategorized

Affiliate marketing can be very difficult to break into. This is because there are already a lot of people doing it. In order to survive you have to beat your competition. There’s also a lot of information out there about how to do affiliate marketing, so it can be confusing. Here’s one trick that almost no one else is using.

Affiliate videos

You can’t deny that video is powerful. The reason it’s so pervasive is because everyone loves it. About the only thing that keeps people’s attention anymore is video. So using it in your affiliate promotions is a no-brainer!

Examples of how to use video for affiliate marketing:

  • Record your testimonial
  • Record a walk-through
  • Record the order process
  • Sneak peak

Testimonials

This one is super simple. Just click record on your web cam and start talking. It does not need to be polished or pro. Just seeing another real person endorsing a product helps your viewers decide to buy. In truth, mistakes and mess-ups just make it more believable. So serious, just turn on the camera and talk. And if you don’t want to show your face, use one of the next ideas.

Walk-throughs

This is a great way to promote something without selling it. Basically you’re doing a tutorial on how to use the product. And seeing it being used is a great way to make people want to buy it. As long as the product is good, the tutorial makes them want it. So just make sure you’re demoing a good product.

Do an ordering video

This could be the most powerful method of all. Do a screen capture of the ordering process. Watching you make a live purchase will inspire your viewer like nothing else. In the first place it acts as social proof. In general people are more likely to something they’ve seen other people do. Second, it builds trust. People believe you’re giving them good advice if you take that advice yourself. And finally, it creates envy. It’s simple – you have it. Now they want it. To really cap this one off, end your video with: If you want to see the inside, you’ll have to order it yourself.

Sneak peak

This is a great way to build value. In this case you record a screen share of the inside of the product. They get to see everything they’ll receive when they order. And it helps soften the skeptics. Once they’ve seen the back-end, they know it’s real.

You can do this!

No special skills are required. Some very easy to use programs make the videos for you. Really, the software does all the work. So you don’t have to worry about the technical part of this at all. Just focus on the benefits:

  • More sales You’ll earn more affiliate commissions when you add video. Start using videos because people love them.
  • Reduce refunds Less of your commissions will be clawed back, too. Now they know what they get before they purchase. So they’ll be less likely to refund.
  • Rise above the competition! Adding video is so simple. But pretty much no one does it. That puts you ahead of the pack.

Get started right now and take your affiliate marketing to the next level. Not using video is detrimental to you business. So do it!

Email List Building Strategies

August 11, 2010 by  dalc2 under Uncategorized

If you’re going to be successful in internet marketing, you need to build a list. This is the most important factor in your long-term success. Because you can market to your list whenever you want. Just push a button and print money – literally.

OK, but how?

Here’s what you need to build your list:

  • The Squeeze Page
  • The Bribe
  • Your Confirmation Page

The Squeeze Page – The squeeze page is the first thing your visitor is going to see. This is where they will enter their email address. This page needs to look professional. And it needs to be simple to see how to opt in. And your call to action must be clear!

Failure to include a great “call to action” will result in failure. This is a definitive message that tells your visitor what to do. Without this your opt-in rate will plummet. Oddly, if you don’t make it clear, people will be confused and end up doing nothing.

One way to really spice up your squeeze page is to make it a video squeeze page. This will grab your visitors attention and keep it. It also allows you to tell them what to do several times. Then at the end of the video you can print “sign up now” on the video.

Now, don’t worry if you have no idea how to make videos. It’s very easy to hire people for a couple hundred bucks to make one for you. There are also list building systems that give you squeeze page templates.

Your Bribe – The next thing you need is an incentive to subscribe to your list. You have to give people a compelling reason to give your their email. Most people are very protective of their email address. So make your “bribe” a good one!

The key to a good bribe is that is has value. It has to be something that people actually want. And something from which they can derive a benefit. For example:

  • A PDF report
  • Some useful software
  • A video
  • A multi-part email series

It all boils down to content. Something that’s useful and helpful to your visitors. It goes without saying it must be free. But to get the email, it’s got to be a good offer.

If you’re worried about creating this content, don’t be. Here again, you can hire freelancers to create this for you. Just give them a topic and they will write the content. A 5-part email series is a good freebie. And you can get emails ghost written for about $20 – $25 each. And whole thing will only cost a hundred and fifty buck.

You can also get email list building tools that include the premium. Two things to keep in mind when writing (or buying) and email training series. The first thing is that it delivers value to your subscribers. And it’s nice if it earns you some money, too. ;-) The easiest way to do this is to market affiliate products in the emails. This is such a simple solution because you don’t have to create the product. And it enables you to generate cash right away from your new list.

The Opt-in Success Page – The “thank you” page is the final piece of the puzzle. This is the page your subscriber sees after they opt in. It’s a great idea to give them some valuable information right on the thank you page. Then they feel good about giving you their email address. It also helps to build the relationship. Then they’re more receptive when you email them.

Again, a simple solution to this is to get an email marketing package that includes everything. Or you can do it yourself. And do your own writing for this content. Or hire ghost writers to write them for you.

Summing it up

Whether you decide to build your email funnel yourself. Or if you hire people to do this for you. Or if sign up for a “complete package” solution. The important thing is that you build your own list starting now. Once you’ve got it built. You’re free to make money at the push of a button.

Affiliate Business Tips

August 10, 2010 by  dalc2 under Uncategorized

Why you must presell

If you want to make more money as an affiliate, you must presell.

Before we start, let’s talk about what preselling actually is. Well, it is an art. And it’s also a science. And it’s function is to prepare your reader to buy something. Then sending them to the product sales page to make the purchase. And if it’s done properly, the process is completely sub-conscious.

In a nutshell, you provide value. Then send them to the sales page. We’ll get into how to do it correctly in a minute. First, it’s important to understand why we do it. Just a few of the reasons you want to presell.

  • Preselling creates trust – And gaining the trust of your readers helps them want to click your links. And the more traffic you can send to the sale page, the more commissions you’ll earn.
  • It disarms your reader – Nobody likes to be sold something. By not doing that to them, your reader is less defensive. And in turn they read to understand what you’re saying. So your content get absorbed.
  • It creates buying readiness – Now they trust you and feel open to your message. So they become more receptive to other messages. Like the info on product sales page you’ve linked to. And being open to the information there means they are much more likely to buy.
  • Your commissions go up – You’ve prepped them and referred them in the right state of mind. With a feeling of trust and openness. The only thing that can result is increased sales!
  • It increases customer satisfaction – Your referral now feels like they decided to buy. Instead of being manipulated into buying. And this leads to greater satisfaction with the product.
  • Your profits go up – Happy customers ask for refunds much less often. Less refunds means more affiliate money stays in your pocket.

Clearly preselling makes sense. You increase your profits. Your customers are happier. That’s a clear win-win.

Now, here’s how preselling works:

OK, now you understand why it’s so important. And hopefully you’re convinced you need to start doing it. So, let’s talk about how to make it work. As I mentioned earlier, it’s both an art and a science.

Becoming an artist

First, you have to gain the trust of your reader, so they let their guard down. And the only method of doing this is to give exceptional value to your readers. The art of this is to provide enough information to be of value, but not enough to satiate the hunger. So you send them to the product website with a hunger for more of what the product provides. And because you’ve gained trust, they’re more receptive to the sales message and more likely to buy.

Scientific preselling

You also have to include some very specific things.

One of these key elements is the presentation of the information. You have to have your end in mind. Your goal is to sell the product you’re promoting. There are two ways to accomplish this with great content. The first method is to provide enough info to get them started, but not enough to finish. The other method is to explain all the details and expose how difficult it is to do what you’re explaining. Either way, the product sales page solves the problem.

Next, you have to use “convert linking” methods. You have directly to the home page of the product. That’s because nobody likes to click on affiliate links. But, without your affiliate link, how do you get credit? There’s a trick to make this work… You use the “covert cookie” strategy.

The next trick is to hyperlink specific words and phrases inside the content of the article you’re providing. Hyperlinked words are clicked more than anything else. And when the words are in context like this, it makes perfect sense for your reader to click them.

Putting all of this together creates a powerful affiliate marketing formula for success.

OK, here’s the not-so-good news:

Doing all of this right is really hard! Think about everything that goes into crafting an effective preselling article: Awesome content. First of all, you actually have to write great articles and give value to your readers. Which means you need to be both knowledgable on the subject and capable of writing a high-quality article. Writing to presell. Yes, you must providing useful content. And you have to make the content accessible in order to provide value. And still leave them wanting more. Or make the information so overwhelming they realize they can’t do it on their own.

Picking products. Next, you’ve got to pick the right product to presell. If you can manage to get the article written well. Your efforts are completely wasted if you don’t pick a winning product.

Techy stuff. One of the keys to this system is using “covert cookies” for the tracking. This is actually pretty simple – just embed a 1 pixel X 1 pixel image and set your affiliate link as the “source” of the image. (But if you mess it up, your referrals won’t be tracked.)

Summary:

Now you’re armed with the information needed to effectively presell. And doing this increases your affiliate commissions by over 500%! So, start now and develop preselling content for all your affiliate promotions. Take action now. Put in the effort to reap the greater rewards.

Traffic Generation Tips

August 9, 2010 by  dalc2 under Uncategorized

The most important thing in any web business is traffic – lots and lots of traffic. Obviously, this assumes you actually have a reason for wanting this traffic. After getting the traffic you just need to convert it into subscribers and customers . . . but that’s the easy part. The most crucial aspect of this process is getting the visitors to your site.

Here are some tips for generating website visitors:

These are the best and fastest ways to get free visitors coming to your site:

  • Web 2.0 Methods
  • Article Websites
  • Video Marketing

Let’s talk about each of these.

Web 2.0 Methods

A Web 2.0 site gives its users the ability to interact with each other and create the site’s content together. The exciting thing about Web 2.0 sites is that you get to add your own content and it becomes part of these sites. Because these sites get so much traffic, Google and the other search engines treat these sites with greater importance in their algorithms. Which means the content on them gets “indexed” faster and with more weight. And any links in your content that point to your own sites count as a strong “vote” in favor of your sites – lending you credibility in the search engines. This is the hidden benefit of using Web 2.0 sites. Getting free web 2.0 traffic is a big topic that we’ll discuss more later. This is good overview of the reason to get into it, though.

Article Websites

The natural next topic is article marketing. This is because article websites are really web 2.0 site. Just like web 2.0 sites, article websites allow you to upload your own content – as articles. Just as with the other web 2.0 sites, having your content included gives you immediate traffic and search engine ranking. And the hidden benefit here is that your reach grows as other people take your articles and put them on their blogs and sites. And in return for getting to use your content, these other users include links back to your website that gives you further search engine ranking and more free traffic. In order to get the most free traffic make sure you:

  • Do your keyword research
  • Tailor the content of your article for the keywords
  • Be sure to link to your site on the keywords you’ve chosen. Do this inside the article itself and in your author’s bio.

Video Sites

The last of this group is video marketing. Just like article directories, video sharing sites also rely on user-generated content. And just as article directories give you great SEO benefits and allow others to redistribute your content on their sites. video sharing sites give you all these same benefits. And if all that wasn’t enough, you also stand a much stronger chance of getting a high search engine ranking for the keywords you want with video than you do with text-based content.

Here are just a few video marketing tips:

  • Sign up for YouTube
  • Make your profile uncluttered by turning off all the modules
  • Use the tags in your profile to enter the keywords you want to rank for
  • Include a link to your main site in your profile
  • Upload at least 1 video
  • In the title, the description and the tags for each video, include your main keywords

Putting it all together.

This is a great overview to get your started generating massive traffic to your site.

Membership Niche Selection Tips

August 8, 2010 by  dalc2 under Uncategorized

In order to make sure your membership business is profitable, you have to select the right market. Here’s how.

First – Look for Fanatics

The number 1 thing you have to do is find fanatics if you want a profitable membership website. What’s a fanatic? It’s someone who is so excited about a certain topic that they will spend their time and money on information about it. OK, so we know what a fanatic is, but how do we find them?

  • Look at magazine racks. This is an often overlooked, yet extremely simple way to find niches that people are interested in. Because it’s becoming harder and harder to keep print periodicals profitable these days, if you see a magazine on the shelves, you know it’s making money. And that means there are lots of people interested in it. This is a very good indication that it’s a good niche for you to go into.
  • Watch and listen for fanatics in your daily life. Pay attention to conversations, social events, TV, restaurants, public places to see what people are talking about. If people are talking about something, they probably want to know more about it. And this means there may be a market for information about it.
  • Conventions, clubs, and organizations. Once again, if there are enough people interested in a topic to create a club or organization, then there are enough people to build a membership business around it. By the same token, if enough people are interested to hold a convention on a certain topic, you can definitely find enough people to build a membership business around that same topic.
  • Think about the things that you are interested in. Chances are that if you like a certain topic or hobby, other people do, too. And, as an added bonus, it’s much more fun to build a business around things you’re interested in.
  • Google Trends. This is a great way to figure out what people are interested in. This service shows you the current most popular search terms. These are the things people are actively searching for in Google. They’re searching because they want information. Hot topics that people are excited about make great niches for your membership website.

Second – Analyze the “commerciality”

OK, so you’ve got a great idea for your niche membership business with lots of fanatics. But will they actually spend money? An easy way to determine this is to figure out if anyone else is making money in this niche.

OK, how do we figure that out?

  • Are there blogs or forums in this niche? Take the name of your niche and search for “niche name blog” & “niche name forum” in Google to see if there is an active group of people talking about and interested in the niche. This tells you there are people who are actively interested in your niche.
  • Check Amazon, eBay and Google Shopping to find out if others are making and selling products in your niche. If other people are creating and selling products in this niche, it means there is money to be made.
  • Watch Google Adwords for a period of time and look for ads the run again and again. Adwords ads are expensive, so people only run them repeatedly if they are profitable. And to be profitable, they have to be selling products and making money.

Finally – Figure out your barrier to entry

Once you’ve found a niche and figured out that there is money to be made in, you need to determine if you can break into this niche. Here’s how to make this determination:

  • Look at the product types in this niche. You want to find a niche where information products are being sold as the norm. The easiest membership website to create and maintain are information membership sites.
  • The last thing you want is a marketing filled with tons of competitors. A few means it’s a profitable niche, but too many means you won’t be able to take a piece of it.
  • Compare the size of the market versus the number of competitors. Some competition is a good sign – just make sure the market is big enough for you to join in.
  • How ready is the market for marketing messages, and how willing are the fanatics to buy. Some niches are made up of people who require lots information and have a very long lead time, and some markets are filled with people who will spend lots of money right now.

Summing it all up

So far, we’ve talked about exactly what it takes to pick a great niche: One with a hungry crowd of fanatics, who are ready to spend money on information about their topic. And you’ve determined your barrier to entry is small enough to give it a go. If you’ve done your homework, your business will be a success because you already know your market is a profitable one with room for you. Learning how to run a membership website is a topic for another article…

Traffic is King, but this comes FIRST

The best way to ensure your success is to build automated traffic sources to send you visitors day and night.

Before we begin

Keyword research is really the first step in getting traffic to your website. The reason this is so important is that you are going to be building content and traffic sources for specific keywords. This means it’s critical to select your keywords properly.

A couple things to keep in mind when doing keyword research:

  • How competitive are the keywords you’re going after? This involves doing some competitive analysis to determine the ease of entry for each keyword
  • What kinds of visitors do these keywords bring? If you don’t do your research you’ll end up with a lot of traffic that doesn’t buy from you. You want to generate visitors ready to buy.
  • Will these keywords bring affiliates? Nothing brings more buyers like an army of affiliates. So, it’s important to also target affiliates in the keywords you go after.

This is critical to your business, but it takes a lot of time and effort. Hiring someone else to do it costs a lot of money. Which is why practically none of your competitors will do this! What I recommend is using website traffic software to save the time of doing it yourself and the money of hiring someone else. Using tools like this speed up the process and improve your results, too!

Once you know your keywords…

Only after doing your keyword research correctly can you start targeting these keywords to get you traffic.

Here are a couple of clever ways to do this…

  • Most people overlook the power of Surveys!
  • “Traffic Traps”
  • Video

Surveys

The truth is that people really enjoy taking surveys and finding out what other people think. You can use this fact to provide “sticky” content for other website owners. And when they put your survey on their site, they will include a link back to your website. This allows you to get free website traffic from other people’s sites! Most people think surveys are just for collecting data, but in this case you don’t even care about the answers. So, get creative and make up a survey that’s wacky to get other people interested in putting it on their sites.

“Answer” Sites

These sites, like answers.yahoo.com are filled with people asking and answering questions for each other. However, you’re interest in these sites is not to ask and answer questions. The other thing they can be used for is to get traffic to your site, leads for your business and sales! One thing you can do is to visit sites like Craigslist and Yahoo! Answers and manually extract contact info to contact other users. The good news is that it’s easy to find website traffic software that can do this automatically. Then you just get a daily batch of fresh leads delivered to your inbox.

Video

No doubt you’re aware of YouTube and other video websites. YouTube is one of the most highly traffic and search websites on the entire internet! If you’re not taking advantage of this rich source of website traffic, then you are really missing out.

Even if you don’t think you can make a good video. You can even take a webpage or article that you’ve written. And use free screen capture software to record yourself reading it. You can even get software that will automatically do this for you.

In Closing

Figuring out how to get some visitors to your site is not hard at all. Use your noodle and come up with things other people aren’t doing. And today there are tons of options for software tools that can help with every part of this process.

Don’t waste any more time:

  • Do your keyword research
  • Then create some surveys born to go viral
  • Take advantage of the “help” sites
  • And don’t forget about video

Affiliate Marketing Secrets

Winning Affiliate Marketing Strategies

Affiliate marketing is by far the fastest way to get started making money online. Affiliate marketing means that all you do is send traffic to someone else’s website, they handle the sales, support and billing, and you keep 50% or more of the sales

The benefits of this are

  1. You can get started really quickly because you don’t have to make a product, craft a sales letter, design the website, develop marketing materials, or set up the ordering, billing & delivery system.
  2. It runs on auto-pilotfor you because the product owner does all the hard work of support, maintenance and billing.
  3. There’s no risk for you, because the product owner has already done all the research , development and testing. So if you send visitors you will get paid.

There’s no denying that these benefits make affiliate marketing the best thing going!

OK, but it’s not all rosy…

Once you send your visitors to the product sales page, they are gone forever. Unfortunately, the majority of those visitors (at least 90%) will not buy on their first visit. And of the 10% or less that do buy, the product owner will be able to sell to them again, but you will not.

What’s the solution?

It’s simple: You must get your visitors’ email addresses before you send them to the product owner’s website. By getting their contact info, you can follow up increase your odds of making the sale by sending them back to the product owner’s website multiple times. And if you’re a super star affiliate, you’ll provide high-quality content before sending them to the product website.

Here’s what these affiliate marketing strategies will do for you:

  1. By building your own list, you’re creating a renewable resource that you can tap again and again for instant profits.
  2. You’ll be warming them up by providing valuable information and then casually linking to the product sales page in the context of this information.

Here’s what you’ll need to create affiliate tools like this:

  1. A lead capture page, preferably with video
  2. Several high-quality content pages
  3. At least a 5-Part Email Followup Series

Instead of sending visitors directly to the product sales page, you’ll send them to your lead capture page first. It captures the name and email of your visitors and puts them into your autoresponder, which then begins sending out the 5-part email series. Then it redirects them to your content pages after they subscribe to your email series.

You content mini-site builds the good will, so that when you send them to the product sales page, they are in a buying mood. And even if they don’t buy on the first visit, your email series sends them back to the product sales page again and again to increase your sales.

All of this together increases your chances of making the sale by up to 500% so it’s well worth the effort of setting it up. And after you get it all set up, it runs on total auto-pilot. You just refer people to your lead capture page, instead of the product sales page.

One option, if you’re not up to the challenge of setting this all up yourself, is to let someone like Affiliate Silver Bullet do it for you. Services like this design the enter system (the video, the video squeeze page, the email series, the content pages, etc). The benefit is that it’s much less expensive then you could do it yourself, and it’s instantly set up. The drawback is that you won’t be the only one using these affiliate tools. But the internet is huge, so this shouldn’t really affect you.

Another way to accomplish this is to hire “outsourcers” through a website like Elance to build and put your system together for you. The important thing is that you start using affiliate tools like the ones described here right now! Otherwise, you’re wasting your time and money.
